Washington: Running back Bishop Sankey is the engine behind Washington's offense with 1,234 yards and 15 touchdowns on the season, including a combined 236 yards and three scores in upset wins over Stanford and Oregon State. The Huskies' defense coordinator Justin Wilcox, used to be the Broncos' defensive coordinator from 2006 to 2009.

Boise State: Believe it or not, Boise State's two losses are the most at the school since a 10-3 season in 2007. The Broncos' defense held opponents to 14.9 points per game, the sixth-best mark in the FBS, and just 163.4 passing yards per game, which tied for fourth-best in the nation. The Broncos finished last two postseasons with bowl wins in Las Vegas. They look to notch another bowl win over Washington, a program they have never beaten.
