College Football Is Turning Into The NFL's Development League

The trend of players leaving college early for the NFL draft is on the rise. After the 2013 college football season, a record 103 players left college early to enter the draft. Each of the past three years were new records for early departures. Will 2014 bring the departures north of 103? Realisitically, how many of the 103 guys foregoing their collegiate eligibility will be drafted within seven rounds?

Three And Done. The New Norm?

Every year the number of underclassmen declaring for the NFL Draft increases. Is college football becoming less about playing intercollegiately and all about being a stepping stone to professional football? These guys are walking away from full scholarships at big-time universities, something most people wouldn't take for granted.
