Ohio: Ohio began the season with great promise. An undefeated campaign seemed within reach after a 7-0 start that included a win at Penn State. However, injuries derailed Frank Solich's squad as they stumbled down the stretch with losses in four of their last five games, including the final three. The Bobcats look to get their program's second bowl victory after winning last season's Idaho Potato Bowl.
Louisiana-Monroe: The school out of northeast Louisiana made noise early this season with an upset of eighth-ranked Arkansas, followed by two close losses to Auburn and Baylor. Thanks to a 6-2 record in Sun Belt league games, the Warhawks will play in their first ever bowl game just 106 miles west of campus in Shreveport in front of a friendly crowd.
