Storyline: Toledo is returning to the postseason for the first time since 2005, while Florida International is making its first bowl appearance ever. Toledo finished second in the MAC West and forced 33 turnovers, a tie for the most this season. The Rockets’ Eric Page is wideout and all-around playmaker to watch out for; this season, he has over 1,000 receiving yards, returned three kickoffs for touchdowns, and has thrown three touchdown passes. With Toledo a mere 60 miles from Detroit, this will be a de facto home game for the Rockets, who have a 70% winning percentage in bowl games. Florida International won a share of the Sun Belt title, winning four out of its last five games. The Golden Panther’s offense is balanced on paper, but leans heavily on running backs Darriet Perry and Darrian Mallary who combined for 1,376 yards this season. Florida International looks to get its first bowl win ever in cold, wintery Detroit.
